SON OF GOD AND SON OF MAN

Jesus is the only begotten son of God. He was both born of a woman (Son of Man), and conceived from God’s Holy Spirit (Son of God). He was sent by God to be the one Savior of humanity, and the one path to salvation and eternal life.

Matthew 8:20 Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Mark 8:31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

Mark 9:12 He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?

Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

Luke 18:31 He took the twelve aside, and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Luke 21:27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

John 1:34 I have seen, and have testified that this is the Son of God.”

John 3:13-15 No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven. 14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

John 9:35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of God?”

John 10:36 do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God?’

John 20:31 but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

Acts 9:20 Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that he is the Son of God.

Romans 1:4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Romans 5:15 But the free gift isn’t like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
Romans 5:17 For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

1 John 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

SALVATION

Acts 4:12
12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

FORGIVENESS OF SINS

Luke 24:47
47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 10:43
43 All the prophets testify about him, that through his name everyone who believes in him will receive remission of sins.”

REDEMPTION

Matthew 20:28
28 even as the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

John 8:34-36
34 Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. 35 A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. 36 If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

Acts 26:18

2 Corinthians 5:17

1 John 5:11-12
11 The testimony is this, that God gave to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn’t have God’s Son doesn’t have the life.
